Trash of the Count's Family is a Korean webnovel by Yoo Reo Han.
Canon Overview
Trash of the Count's Family follows Kim Rok Soo, who goes to sleep after reading five chapters of the novel Birth of a Hero and wakes up in the world of the novel, in the role of minor villain Cale Henituse. He wants nothing more than an easy life, but his efforts to avoid being beaten up like Cale was in the original novel spiral into heavy involvement with the plot.
The novel was first posted online on Munpia in April 2018, and is still ongoing. Currently, it is over 700 chapters long. A manhwa adaptation illustrated by PAN4 began serialization in September 2020, and is also ongoing.[1]
Translations
As of April 2022, no official translation of Trash of the Count's Family is available in English. Previously, a licensed translation of the novel was available on the website Wuxiaworld, but in November 2020, Yoo Ryeo Han elected not to allow the site to renew their license to translate the novel. According to the official announcement:[2]
"I expect there will be a lot of speculation from people as to why our dear author came to this decision in the end; I too share in this speculation. There are a number of possibilities; for example, in the past two months, I've noticed a degree of anti-Wuxiaworld Twitter brigading from Korean TCF fans (which, based on some inside info, seems to be fanned from WW competitors). However, in the end, the exact reason doesn't matter - the author has made her decision, and all of us are obliged to respect it."
The author has not reached out to another site to allow translation of the novel, and no official translation for the manhwa has been announced.
Some of the novel's later chapters are available on the fansite Eat Apple Pies, and the manhua can be found illegally on various scanlation sites.

Shipping
Much of the shipping in this fandom focuses on slash ships, especially ones involving Cale Henituse. However, due to the found family that forms among Cale's allies over the course of the plot, there is a lot of gen content as well.
As of April 2022, the most popular ships on AO3 in the fandom are Cale Henituse/Choi Han and Cale Henituse/Alberu Crossman. The selfcest-adjacent ship of Cale Henituse/Original Cale Henituse also enjoys an notable amount of popularity.[3]
