- Stretch Goals: This project included the four stretch goals below, all of which were unlocked by February 26, 2022[4].

- Giveaways: Two giveaways happened during preorders: a giveaway of 1 chosen card plus 5 random cards to two entrants during preorders[6] and a full deck giveaway[7].
- Collab: Free Xiangling + Pokémon coloring book page with physical zine orders from both Trainers of Teyvat and Storyteller zines[8].
- Choose Your Own Adventure Game: This game implemented on Carrd was released in the lead-up to preorders[9]. It was designed and coded by Starrie Wolf, with writing and art also contributed by various others. The first two to send in a pass phrase at the end of the secret route received a digital bundle for free[10].
- Sales: During preorders, there were two sales - 15% off full bundles on January 30, 2022 with code POKEGENSHIN15[11] and 10% off all orders on February 26, 2022 with code POKEGENSHIN10[12]. During leftovers, there were also two sales - a Halloween sale from October 29-31, 2022 that offered 10% off card decks, plus free shipping on orders of 2+ decks with code DECKSGALORE[13], and a final leftovers sale November 11-18, 2022 of 20% off everything with code POKEGENSHIN20[14].
Other
- The zine Twitter account did a series of interactive polls creating a Pokémon team for Venti during the interest check period[15]. They continued to make polls for various characters and Pokémon as the project continued, such as this poll which resulted in this graphic of Raiden Shogun with a Raikou.
- The zine was affected by pandemic-related manufacturing delays[16], and had to change their book printer[17].
- The free digital zine Gotta Gacha 'Em All was released July 15, 2022[18].
- The character Kamisato Ayato's appearance was officially revealed during zine preorders after much hype and speculation from the fandom, and a card featuring his design was added to this zine's TCG deck very soon afterwards[19].
