Tourniquet is an "appreciation site" for the Harry Potter character Narcissa Malfoy that also had an associated Narcissa-centric mailing list and archive.
Though the website remains online, it has not been updated since July 2004. The mailing list was deleted in late 2004 and the archive went offline sometime in or after 2006.
Fansite
The fansite itself contains minimal content, simply (now broken) links to the mailing list and archive, a page of Narcissa-related links, and a short description of Narcissa in canon (apparently written before the publication of Order of the Phoenix). The images on the site depict Naomi Watts as Narcissa.

Mailing List
The Tourniquet mailing list was started on Yahoo! Groups on August 16, 2003 for discussion and fanfiction about Narcissa:
Jasper and later Echo were Tourniquet's "listmums"; other moderators include Laura and Jenn. In September 2004, the list had 81 members.[1]
Archive
The Tourniquet archive was created in 2004 as "a sanctuary for Narcissa Malfoy-centric fanfiction" and was online at least until February 2006.[2] It was hosted by Jen at willowslilsecret.net, (which was also home to Willow's Lil' Secret and other archives) and was originally run by Echo.[3] Jen became the webmistress in March 2005, at which time the archive began accepting fan art.[2]
The archive site also hosted most of the content available on the Tourniquet fansite, such as the brief character bio and Narcissa-related links. It also linked to the Willow's Lil' Secret message boards.[4]
Content & Policies
The archive required that Narcissa be the main character of all stories and prohibited incest pairings (including those between first cousins). The archive's front page stated:
- "Please check your work for grammar and spelling errors before uploading it. All fiction archived here must feature Narcissa Malfoy as a main character. We do not tolerate incest fic, so Narcissa/Draco, Narcissa/Bellatrix, Narcissa/Andromeda, Narcissa/Tonks & Narcissa/Sirius fic will NOT be accepted."[2]
Stories were divided into five categories:
- Pure Potterverse
- Crossover Fiction
- Drabbles
- Challenges
- Essays
As of February 2006, there were 24 stories archived: 16 in "Pure Potterverse", three crossovers, and five drabbles. There were no challenges or essays posted.[2]
