Tombstone is an American Western film starring Kurt Russell as Wyatt Earp, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday, and Michael Biehn as Johnny Ringo.
Canon
The film focuses on the events leading up to and resulting from the street fight commonly known as The Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, which took place on 26 October 1881. The main character is reluctant lawman Wyatt Earp. His allies include his brothers Virgil and Morgan, and his unlikely friend Doc Holliday. The Earps oppose a group of rustlers and outlaws known as the Cowboys, led by Curly Bill Brocius and Johnny Ringo. The women characters include: the Earp wives Allie, Mattie and Louisa; love interest Josephine Marcus; and Doc's lover Kate Elder.
Interestingly for slash fans, the (real life) deputy sheriff Billy Breckenridge (Jason Priestley) is portrayed as gay, and given a love interest in the enticing form of (fictional) actor Mr. Fabian (Billy Zane).
Fandom
The fandom is relatively small, with less than a hundred works on AO3. The main relationship written about is Wyatt Earp/Doc Holliday, with some interest in Doc Holliday/Original Female Character(s), and Doc Holliday/Johnny Ringo.
