Tom/Hermione or Voldemort/Hermione is the het pairing of Tom Riddle and Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter fandom. The two have never directly interacted in canon.
This ship, like most others involving Hogwarts students (particularly Hermione) in relationships with Death Eaters, is a highly controversial one and most Tomione shippers are slightly alienated from the rest of the fandom.
Common Tropes in Fanworks
- It should be noted that Tom Riddle/Hermione and Voldemort/Hermione are two different tags. The former usually focuses on Hermione falling in love with young Tom Riddle, and the latter is the pairing of Hermione and the Lord Voldemort we see in canon.
- Voldemort Wins AUs are common, sometimes involving Hermione as a prisoner/slave.
- Alternate Universes where Hermione is given a different backstory.
- Dark!Hermione or dark fic where Hermione is lured to the dark side.
- Time travel or Time Turner fics where Hermione goes back in time and ends up falling in love with a young Tom Riddle.
