Reactions and Reviews

A classic rescue story never grows old for me. In this one it is Kirk who disappears through what appears to be a sacrificial altar, but is in reality a rift between two planes of existence. As can be depended upon in such cases, an urgent message arrives from Starfleet, giving the crew scant hours to find their captain. The K/S element is alive and well here, with Spock unable to consider life without his captain. He finds the portal and dives through, heedless of the danger to himself. A rather grueling journey besets the pair once they've found each other, but it is a satisfying one, with nice moments between them along the way. [1]
