threerings has been active in online fandom since 1997. She is a fanwriter in many fandoms, as well make meta, vid recs and fanbiding,[1] also assisting with other admin fan activities. She first joined online fandom with the HOUNDS-L mailing list, where she was in the vast minority as a young, female, slash-friendly Sherlock Holmes fan. After that she discovered greater media fandom and became involved in Forever Knight fandom through the listservs of the time. She wrote her first fanfic in 1999 for Forever Knight fandom.
threerings came to LiveJournal for Harry Potter Fandom, but mostly lurked. She started engaging more actively with ("New") Doctor Who fandom and became a moderator of The SPDN newsletter and community for Doctor/Rose shippers. After leaving Doctor Who fandom, she took a hiatus from fandom with her only fannish interaction being on the Mark Does Stuff and Mark Spoils sites. She started her tumblr for Hannibal fandom, but abandoned it rather quickly. She only returned to fandom and fan writing in 2017 for Yuri!!! on Ice fandom. Since that time she has been active in a large number of fandoms, notably Chinese danmei related fandoms.
