Reactions and Reviews

An absolutely marvelous display of characterization and storytelling. I believed every word and loved every scene. Simply fantastic in how it portrayed the journey. Kudos indeed.[1]

I enjoyed this immensely the first time I read it and love it even more the 2nd time around. This was one of the first Clexa fics I had ever read. And one of the reasons I've abandoned my novels becos I'm unable to tear myself away from Clexa fanfics. So...thank you?? ;)
Have u considered writing a continuation to this? I hope so!![2]

Wow, this was absolutely incredible. Your characterization and setting were perfect in every sense; you really captured the feeling of the show. I love the way that you allowed their relationship to slowly develop into something new. It felt very realistic considering their personalities, and appropriately heartbreaking. Thank you so much for writing this, I absolutely adored it.[3]

This was an absolute treat to read. I love how you depicted Clarke's conflicted feelings towards Lexa: her resentment from Lexa's betrayal, her guilt from what she'd done on Mt Weather and the irony over how she somehow cab only find comfort from the one who betrayed her. I love reading how their roles as young leaders who need to make tough decisions binds them together in a way they can't quite comprehend. Even if Clarke would initially prefer not to be anywhere near Lexa, they're still inexplicably drawn to each other and you wrote it so perfectly.

I loved how Clarke taught Lexa how to play; I think Lexa would be a sore loser too. And that ending was perfect, sweet and hopeful. Thanks for sharing![4]

I've binged the series in the past few days and just watched Lexa's death scene and went searching for happy fics and this isn't really what I wanted but it's everything I needed. thank you for this fantastic story[5]

I remember the first time i read this fic- it was my first experience reading fanfic and this was the fic that got me into clexa fan fiction. I loved the understanding the two characters have- yes it was lexa's betrayal that drove clarke to run away but Lexa was also the only person that understood clarke.
This story still holds up. ThaNk you for your words.[6]

I just reread this and it's so good. The dynamic between the characters is just *chef's kiss* and Clarke's voice, the strength and the struggle come through so well.
Thanks for sharing <3[7]

I'm guessing you don't keep up with this anymore after all these years, but in case you do, I just wanted to let you know that I had the nicest time reading this today. I think I'd read it before, but it had been a few years. But there was a little Clexa resurgence on all my social media lately, what with the finale and all, so I popped a few Clexa fics back into my reading queue.

I ended up reading it outside this morning with my coffee. I think the fact that it was stupidly cold outside added to the atmosphere. It's a lovely story, regardless. It seems to hit all the emotions just right. I love how it acknowledges the complicated nature of their love-- that there's a lot of overwriting and forgiveness to be done, and the truth that if it ever again came down to their love versus the safety of their people, another betrayal isn't off the table. I love the image of them slowly healing their relationship through time and effort and space, and Clarke getting a chance to rest and think and heal. It obviously isn't something they were allowed in the canon, so it's nice to imagine how they could have gotten a better ending together.

So anyway, if you still read these, thanks again for writing it.[8]
