Reactions and Reviews

1990

An amusing romp. The idea of the crew giving a sexy bonding shower to Kirk and Spock is kind of neat. (Personally, though, I thought Scotty went too far with his "multi-speed, ion-powered sexual aids.") I loved the other presents, and (especially) the refreshments. Giggled now and then the rest of the day whenever I thought of them. When the story ended, though, I didn't know it was over, and turned the page for more. [1]

Liked the bonding shower idea and all the gifts. The tone of this story was a bit dry. When all the gifts were being opened, I found myself asking what everyone else was doing. There was very little written about the reaction of the other party attendees. It almost seemed like Kirk and Spock were opening gifts in private. [2]

2000

There are a few stories in that zine that have always amused me, so I happily spent my lunchtime reading and smiling. There’s a story in there about a bonding shower thrown for Jim and Spock by the senior bridge crew that’s just silly in the extreme, but perfect for a laugh. [3]
