Stardrive was the name of the Blake's 7 for-profit con series planned by Terry Nation and Paul Darrow.
They were to have been run by Laurie Cohen and Decima Productions.
This was the con series that, in part, set off the massive controversy that became The Blake's 7 Wars.
From a Flyer
You've heard Terry Nation speak about a Blake's 7 convention tour — this is it.
Stardrive will consist of a group of conventions on consecutive weekends, to be scheduled this coming fall or winter.
Terry Nation, Paul Darrow, and Michael Keating are committed to this tour — and they will be in attendance at all conventions on the tour. Other guests may also join us along the way.
At the moment our plans are quite tentative. What is NOT tentative is that we need your advice, your ideas, your programming suggestions to make Stardrive a success. We want these conventions to be uniquely exciting — and we're willing to take some chances to accomplish that.
How many times have you said, I've always wanted to see 'X' at a convention." or "If only the guests would do...."? Well, this is your chance — tell us about it. If it's feasible, we'll try it!
We are at ORAC this weekend. If you'd like to speak with us, look for someone with a Stardrive button, or write to the Decima Productions box listed below.
Recycling Some Ideas for "ORBIT"
From spring or summer 1990 ORBIT "newsflash" that mentions "Stardrive":
A lot of you were excited by the programming ideas Paul and Terry suggested last year in connection with the proposed STARDRIVE Tour. Since ORBIT marks Paul and Mike's only joint convention in the United States this year, we and our guests want to make it special. And so, our guests have agreed to participate in some unique, never-before-seen programming.
Paul has expressed an interest in performing B7 sketches written by Terry and/or the fans. Maybe the same sketch will be performed several times, with the actors switching roles. Paul has also suggested a reprisal of the one-man show he performed recently in Guildford. Mike suggested a panel or workshop on comedic acting. We came up with a panel to be answered in character by "Avon" and "Vila"!
In addition to the above, our guests are conferring amongst themselves, trying to come up with even more exciting possibilities!
We expect to narrow down the choices in the next month or so and select the two or three most enjoyable (and feasible!) alternatives. In the meantime, we're still looking for ideas and contributions. SO!-- if you have written a sketch you'd like to see acted out, send it to us!!! Maybe the guys will perform it! If you have an idea for programming you've always wanted to see, tell us about it! We value your input. ORBIT is your convention.

- Dalek Man, London. Having scrambled British SF TV expectations, Terry Nation considers reshaping fan conventions (a January 1990 article in Starlog discussed Terry Nation's plans to recreate fan cons as a for-profit con, cons that Nation would control and reshape. It illustrates the theory that where there are fans, there is money to be made.)
