Reactions and Reviews
1988
THE SMALL VOICE is an intriguing story dealing with the aftermath of THE CONSCIENCE OF THE KING. [1]
1993
A short story with a very interesting premise — what if Kodos had sexually assaulted Kirk and caused Kirk to save his own life by the sacrifice of another?
This is an older zine, and I'm glad I came upon this story as I've wanted to read something about this time in Kirk's life. Here, Spock helps Kirk comes to terms with his guilt and face the truth of the incident. A bit too short to fully explore this intriguing idea, but nicety done in a direct way.
I especially enjoyed the ending: "Spock started with a gentle kiss." [2]
