The Richmond Star Trek Convention took place August 6-8, 1976. It was hosted by the Virginia Interstellar Society.
It was originally to be titled "Norfolk, Virginia Star Trek Con." [1]
A fan in July 1976 wrote: "I have heard rumor that some of the old Feb. con committee is on the committee here. But the last word I had, the location had been changed, due to the fact that the main hotel wasn't suitable. Write to find out the story, because it looks worthwhile. [2]
Guests of Honor
The guests of honor were James Doohan (by telephone), Nichelle Nichols, Gordon R. Dickson, Kelly Freas, and Joan Winston.
James Doohan did not personally appear; he is listed on the program at 9 PM Friday, as "Telephone Conversation."
