The Mona Lisa Smile is a Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan story by Miriam Heddy.

Summary: Qui-Gon Jinn is a very tall tree and Obi just might see how the view is from on top. Is Obi's constant grin the prelude to a joke or a grin of triumph?

Recs and Reviews

If for no other reason than that this was the first EVER piece of Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan slash fiction I ever read, this story would have a place here. It is also worthy of my recommendation because...well, its just a lovely story. Qui-Gon is fascinated by Obi-Wan's smile (as are we all, Master!)[1]

Qui-Gon can't figure Obi-Wan out, and it's a lot of fun watching him try. Miriam strings us along for the ride as the Master attempts to demystify his Padawan without letting Obi-Wan know what he's doing.[2]

the mona lisa smile, by miriam heddy. qui/obi, nc-17, sw:tpm. an amazingly unusual-seeming story. the difference is all in the approach, i suppose. an extraordinarily fascinating, adult, competent, confident, self-possessed, mysterious and serene obi-wan. qui-gon pov. first time. brilliant, just the kind of story i like.[3]
