The Erotic Adventures of Willow and Spike is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer series by Laure Alexander. This fic was created for an adult Buffy list, that the author intentionally did not name in any of her notes. However some fans have referred to this verse as "the UCSL W/S, B/A(us) universe created by Laure Alexander"; suggesting that the unnamed list may have been the Unconventional Relationshippers list.[1] The summary of the first story stated:

Drusilla gives Spike a prezzie--Willow. Just what will he do with her?

The series ultimately included more than 50 stories and was written over four years. The main pairing of the series was Willow/Spike, but there was also a Buffy/Angelus subplot, Spike/Dru, Xander/Cordy and various combinations of those characters, including f/f and m/m slash. When reuploading this fic to Ao3, the author warned for non con, dub con and BDSM scenarios.

Author Notes

Upon re-uploading their work to Ao3, Laure Alexander added updated author's notes to the fic. Many of these detail how warnings and fandom norms have changed since the work was originally published.

On V-day Sucks:
First published in February, 1999, eight months after the series premiered, but chronologically the first story in the series. When originally written, no one warned for dub con and I'm not sure it's really applicable here. Buffy does consent, it's just the sex is pretty nasty.

On Prezzie:
Originally published at the end of June, 1998, this was the first fic written in the series. I wrote it is an introduction to an adult Buffy fanfic list for noncanon pairings and I was already writing a Buffy/Spike fic so settled on this one shot of Willow and Spike. Yeah...one shot... I've labeled this noncon, but what comes from this fic is so much more. Yes, there is noncon, dubcon, hate sex in the series, but also true and eternal love. Back when this was written and for the list it was written, no one considered this story rape or noncon but fanfic mores have changed so it's labeled thusly as noncon. Take that as you will.

On Willow's Been Naughty:
Originally published on July 20, 1998, this story introduces a complicated relationship between Willow and Drusilla, as well as spanking and the beginning of Willow becoming a masochist. I've warned for dub con as the Willow/Dru sex is punishment, but, again, when this fic was originally written, no one considered this anywhere near rape fic. The original warning was as follows: This story deals with various forms of punishment--nothing too nasty--but if that's not your scene, don't read.

Reviews & Reception

Even though its a very long series, TEAOW&S is a must read series. While it does live up to its title, its so much more then just smut. Beginning during season 2 right around Valentine's day, there's a long unfolding of a loving relationship between Willow and Spike with many twists and turns, starting with Dru giving Willow to Spike as a present. You can imagine how that goes. There's also a large part in the series for a relationship between Angelus and Buffy that starts out very dark and unfolds in its own way. Laure's Spike is wonderful as he falls in love with a human, yet worrys about Dru as well. And her Buffy is heartwrenching, so in love with Angel that she'll have him any way she can, even though the demon is as far from soulboy as he can be. Angelus has his own journey to take, as he finds that even demons can love as well. And throughout the series we get some very hot smut scenes. All in all an amazing series. WARNING: There's sex, violence, bloodplay, BDSM, role playing and some slash. If any of these are not what you like to read, then this series is probably not for you.[2]
