The Creation of Adam (also known as The Creation of Man) is a fresco mural by Michelangelo painted circa 1508–1512 as part of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling. It depicts the Biblical narrative of the first man's creation, with God, white-robed and floating amidst unidentified figures, reaching toward Adam, reclining and nude, to imbue him with life.
