The Concrete Jungle is a 86-page gen and slash Professionals anthology. It won a 1993 FanQ for best Pros zine.

A second issue was proposed but did not materialize.

Submission Request

From a 1992 Zine Scene:

A "/" and gen zine and will accept just about any kind of story you can think up: mystery, comedy (slapstick, satire, etc.), action/adventure, vignettes, horror, a day in the life, alternate universe, fantasy, historical, etc., etc., etc. Stories focusing on other characters, such as Murphy, Cowley, Ross, Macklin, Susan, or Betty will be cheerfully considered for acceptance. Stories may be sent typed on diskette. SASE for guidelines.

Blurb

From a July 1993 ad in GAZ: "Travel to the future in "The Bronze Metal Lover" and "The Chosen One". Go into the distant past with "Let Sleeping Doyle Dream". Watch the boys react to babes in "The Vault", "Transfer at the End of the Line" and "Berkley Hunt". See them bare their souls in "Matters of the Heart", "Men of the World" and Gooseberry". 1993 Fan Q winner: Best zine in category; best story: "The Chosen One"."

Summary

From an ad in Media Monitor #34 and from the flyer:

Travel to the future in 'The Bronze Metal Lover' and 'The Chosen One'. Go into the distant past with 'Let Sleeping Doyle Dream'. Watch the boys react to babes in 'The Vault', 'Transfer at the End of the Line' and 'Berkeley Hunt'. See them bare their souls in 'Matters of the Heart', 'Men of the World', and 'Gooseberry'.

The Proposed Second Issue

Despite a submission request for a second issue, this second issue did not happen.

A July 1993 submission request in GAZ:

On the mean streets and the clean streets, on the highways and the biways, in the back rooms and the bedrooms, cross universe and alternate universe, past, present, future. I want it all. Burn up the mails with both gen and slash. Deadline is 8/15/93 or when my page count maxes out. Until then-- wait for it. Stories focusing on other characters, such as Murphy, Cowley, Ross, Macklin, Susan or Betty will be accepted. All contributions longer than 10 pages, double spaced, must be accompanied by a diskette containing the story on file to be downloaded to my DOS based PC. Send a sase for complete guidelines.

[zine]: Just look at what won 'Best Pros Zine" at MediaWest last year. That still galls me too. [1]
