THE CONCRETE JUNGLE is all about your favorite ex-merc, ex-cop team: Bodie and Doyle. This duo gets along like oil and water, except when they're pulling outrageous pranks on each other or pulling the are on some joker what deserves it. They're the best Cowley has in the mean streets of London, hittin' the crims hard and fast and right through the gut with steele jacketed bullets. Help them fight their war in the streets and among the lavender and roses of England's backwater villages. Stories say be sent typed or on diskette. I can convert more than twenty types of word processors, please send a SASE for the list. Stories accepted: mystery, comedy (slapstick, satire, etc), action/adventure, vignettes, horror, a day in the life, alternate universe, cross universe, fantasy, historical and just about anything else. Stories focusing on other characters, such as Murphy, Cowley, Ross, Macklin, Susan, or Betty will be cheerfully considered for acceptance. This IS the Professionals and slash stories are accepted. The Proposed Second Issue

Despite a submission request for a second issue, this second issue did not happen.

A July 1993 submission request in GAZ:

On the mean streets and the clean streets, on the highways and the biways, in the back rooms and the bedrooms, cross universe and alternate universe, past, present, future. I want it all. Burn up the mails with both gen and slash. Deadline is 8/15/93 or when my page count maxes out. Until then-- wait for it. Stories focusing on other characters, such as Murphy, Cowley, Ross, Macklin, Susan or Betty will be accepted. All contributions longer than 10 pages, double spaced, must be accompanied by a diskette containing the story on file to be downloaded to my DOS based PC. Send a sase for complete guidelines.
