The Collective Zine is a gen Dark Shadows zine with twenty-four issues, published between 1995 and 1999. It focused on discussion, both of fan-related material and the craft of writing (fan fiction and original fiction). Each issue also featured fiction, poetry, art, and non-fiction essays and articles contributed by members of the writers' group, The Collective. The Collective Zine is a letter-sized, photocopied zine and was published APA-style, with each member sending multiple copies of their contribution for that issue to a coordinator. It had both contributors and non-contributing subscribers.

In 1999, the paper zine was replaced by an online mailing list.
