TheMightyFlynn, a Australian moderator and fanwriter also known as Flynn, is a long-standing member of Harry Potter fandom. In the past she very rarely ventured into other fandoms. Flynn is noted as a versatile writer of both slash and het kink fic. She is also a knowledgeable Brit-picker, and has a degree in writing.
Her main pairings are Harry/Severus, Harry/Draco, Snape/Harry/Draco, occasionally she writes Hermione/Severus.[1] Minor characters in canon are one of Flynn's fannish passions, and she loves reading and writing about Astoria Malfoy, Hugo Weasley, Ludo Bagman and other rare characters.
After reading fanfiction, mostly on ff.net, Flynn posted her first fic in 2013. Between October 2014 and October 2015, she wrote "19 Years and 5 Minutes Later" and posted it as a chaptered WIP on Livejournal. The novel-length Harry/Draco fic is still her most-read fanfic.
Flynn herself says at a Snowflake Challenge in 2020:
"I would call [my fannish writing a] surprising success in certain aspects. My 19 Years absolutely took off four years ago, as did two of my one-shots. Besides those, though, I have retreated back into my little corner and played with the rare pairs I really just love. the rarer, the better, actually."[2]

Themightyflynn is a prolific writer; there are currently 185 fic on her AO3 page.[3] She writes any length, from smutty drabbles to long, chaptered fan novels. Flynn often writes for fests and challenges. On AO3, the fics she has been writing for the newyearcntdown fest[4] are collected in the New Year's Countdown Series.

Fest Moderator
Flynn has been instrumental in the founding of several Harry Potter challenges that have become well-loved, large and annual fests. Currently she is a mod and co-mod (often with Smirkingcat) at HP BunintheOven, Bill Ficathon (since 2018), Weasleyjumpers, HP Het, The Ice Royals (a fest for Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy), Luscious Malfoy[5], Death Eaters Anonymous, HP Shore of Angst[6] and a few others.
She is one of the maintainers of One Bad Man[7], a daily reccing community for Severus Snape and Lucius Malfoy.
My corner of fandom
Since 2019[6], Flynn regularly wraps up her current fandom activities in a kind of informal and personal fandom newsletter: My corner of fandom. These posts feature recurring sections "What I'm up to", "Comms" with information about communities, fest and challenges Flynn participates and/or mods, and "Recs" with usually two fanfic or fanart recommendations.
