Thai GL is a term for Thai dramas of the girls' Love genre. Similarly, Thai BL is the term for Thai dramas of the boys' Love genre.
Following the success of Thai BL and the growth of its fandom several BL series' began including GL couples as additional storylines for supporting characters. However it wasn't until the release of GAP: The Series, which is noted to be the first Thai GL, did the fandom see huge growth both domestically and internationally.
