Template talk:Disambiguation
ack help! In addition to the Disambiguation header, I get the text you wrote on the next line: The result will be that your page will have the proper header, and the proper base categorization, as seen below: This is in Category for example.
Does it need a nowiki tag somewhere? I assume if it's fixed in the template, it will be fixed in the page, too.
Now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure I'm seeing it in the glossary and other templates, too. Text like note about dominant term used here? Something's grabbing something it shouldn't. — Msilverstar 19:09, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Does it really need to be a top level header? I mean, it's HUGE compared to the rest of the text. WP uses the following:
- This disambiguation page lists articles associated with the same title. If an internal link led you here, you may wish to change the link to point directly to the intended article.
That seems much more useful than a great big honking "Disambiguation" at the top of the page. Should I Be Bold and fix it, or is that not part of the wikiculture here? -DrGaellon (talk | contribs) 19:27, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Use this disambiguation template for "see also"?
The Alias Smith and Jones page is for a show of its own. I'd like to link to Doctor Who fandom because the first episode of New Who season 3 uses that for its title. Should I put this template into that page, or save it for really stubby disambiguation pages, like the way I did it in IP. --Msilverstar 23:30, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- I think the template should only be on pages that are nothing but disambiguations; for a "see also", I'd just put a line at the top, like on the Fanwank page. That said, though, I'm not completely sure that an episode title needs to be disambiguated, since we're not really about providing episode guides. --Arduinna 15:09, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- OK, that works for me. --Msilverstar 03:16, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
