Template talk:Cleanup
since icons for more templates were discussed (see Template talk:PPOV), my idea was a dustpan for the cleanup template, and as I had my tablet out anyway, I sketched one: Image:Dustpan.png|100px --RatCreature 20:50, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Nice! :) Maybe a bit dark? After all it should encourage people to actually do the cleaning but I don't know what would make cleaning up inviting. Hmm. --Doro 21:53, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- I made it blue because fanlore as default has a sort of blue scheme (admittedly more to the turqoise, but I like blue-green less) and red is so bright and alarming that it would jump at you.--RatCreature 22:06, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- That said, I fiddled with the brightness--RatCreature 22:15, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I like that one better. Looks much more friendly. ^_^ --Doro 22:20, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
This is what it could look like:
This article requires some clean up to meet guidelines for cohesion. Please help us out by organizing, wikilinking or rewriting it. |
It looks a bit friendlier than the text only version, also because it seems to shout at you less ass the huge "Clean Up" is gone.--RatCreature 22:41, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, the big "Clean Up" is really loud and I find it more useful like this. Maybe the text could benefit from some teaking too? I'm never really sure what "guidelines for cohesion" means... --Doro 22:51, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Especially as I'm not aware that we have any such "guidelines" written down anywhere in the policies. I suspect part of the reason that this template isn't used to indicate pages that would benefit from reorganization and structural editing is because of that.--RatCreature 23:00, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
recent changes to the template
The change to a standard template format caused the loss of the image that previously appeared in the template. Can the image fit in the template in its current incarnation? Also, could the standard "message" style template be changed to look more like the custom template as it appears on this talk page? Or maybe something in between? I like borders and images. :)--æþel 02:31, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll fix that as soon as I can -- I changed the template format to be more accessible (tables suck) and to be more standard. However, there is a border around this template as is. --Awils1 08:23, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
