Usage
This template is for pages about particular instances of academic commentary on fandom such as papers published in peer-reviewed journals, blog posts by academics, or books published by academics. The commentary may be written by someone who happens to be a fan if they are writing for a non-fannish audience.
Articles about fannish meta essays should use Template:MetaEssay, and articles about fannish surveys should use Template:Survey.
Articles about other kinds of non-fan commentary on fandom can use Template:Commentary or Template:CommentaryPress.
The template will automatically include the page in Category:Academic Commentaries.
