The material on this page duplicates Winnie-the-Pooh (book series)--æþel 03:38, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Is it a crazy thought to (gasp!) combine them into one page that's just "Winnie-the-Pooh" so there's just one Pooh page? And not have two dupe pages that differ only in title plus the disambiguation page (until some inspired fan actually goes ahead and splits out the content on the character vs. the series/adaptations and makes two truly separate pages, at which point the disamb page could be recreated). Or is that contrary to fanlore policy or just a bad idea? --Sk 04:26, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure a disambiguation page is even necessary here; we have Harry Potter (book series) and Harry Potter (character) and it seems to work out OK. Or is there a difference that I'm missing between the two situations? ~ Sparcicle 05:17, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- There's already an existing disambiguation page, which (as became clear from Aethel's comment) leads to two pages that seem to be identical except for their title. Seems needlessly redundant? --Sk 05:25, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- No, I agree. I was just speaking in general - in the event that someone did separate the character versus series content to have two distinct pages, it still seems inconsistent to have a disambiguation page for Winnie-the-Pooh but not for Harry Potter. ~ Sparcicle 05:45, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Rule of thumb is: If people who search for "winnie-the-pooh" are generally looking for the book, then Winnie-the-Pooh should be the title of the book article. I'd be fine with having just the one article -- and then if anyone develops enough new material just about the character, we can split off Winnie-the-Pooh_(character) again.--æþel 17:36, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Adds ticky-vote to having just the one article until someone develops enough new material to re-add the separate character page. :) --Sk 18:31, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

- Months later I remembered to fix this. There should now be only one page about Winnie-the-Pooh fandom and no disambiguation pages or duplicate content. The redirects should all point to Winnie-the-Pooh until someone has new content for a character page.--æþel 23:46, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
