Talk:When Worlds Collide: Fandom and Male Privilege
I think there are enough meta essays on gender issues and sexism for a category, but I'm not sure how narrowly or broadly to define it. Do we want a category for all Social Justice Meta? But I fear it would exclude the 70s-90s essays that now read as kind of atrocious.--aethel (talk) 21:36, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know of a good label. Personally, I'm not in favor of "Social Justice Meta" as it feels too dated, both too narrow, and too broad. I'm explaining it poorly, I know.
- Yes, a lot of the old meta can be, well... yeah. But it's definitely interesting in terms of language and attitudes and the journey of fail better and the continuum we're all on; the meta today will probably feel just as dated and clumsy to Fans of Tomorrow. --MPH (talk) 22:40, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
