Talk:The Turn of the Wheel

Well, I got them off the distributer's web page, and it is very clear when the author's names are *NOT* to be used. There have been a number of zines when the summary says the names of the authors, and sometimes publishers, "have been surpressed at their request." And this zine didn't have that statement. I take that to mean there has been some discussion or understanding along the way, but that is an assumption based on previous evidence.

I've been careful to never override what's in the summary, even when I've seen it superceded somewhere else (though, really, it's ALL out there in one shape or another...) but if you think the names should be shortened, I certainly don't have a problem with it. :-)Mrs. Potato Head 21:08, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Comments re "On Cold Hill's Side"

Hi. I am one of Rebecca Brothers' co-authors on this story (the third author is now deceased). I am putting my thoughts here because I no longer have her address.

I saw her comment here, and I'm extremely sorry she felt so unhappy with this story. She was a pen pal of mine. She lived in the state, but I don't think she and I ever met. We did collaboration by mail and phone. We collaborated on this story and a B7 story. I do recall getting a letter, several years after both stories were published in zines, stating she wanted to pull her name and her original characters from them. The tone shocked me, and I wrote back as diplomatically as I could, trying to smooth things over. Eventually the matter was dropped, but I still don't know what happened or what I (or we) did wrong. I do know she never wrote me another pen pal letter, and for that I am very sorry indeed. 💔 Pcdfanwriter (talk) 18:51, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that there was strife regarding the story, Pcdfanwriter. But thank you for the information. MPH (talk) 19:00, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
