Site Link Removal

Midnightfuschia: what was the reason for the removal of these two sites?

• Ghostbusters.net (gen fan fiction, message board and episode reviews. Closed July 2003, but archived online.)

• Ghostbusters livejournal comm (includes the movies, RGB, and EGB)

I was also curious why this was removed: "There was some limited Peter/Dana Barrett (played by Sigourney Weaver in the movies), but as that character never appeared in the cartoon, she is found infrequently in fic and fanart." Information regarding Peter/Dana has been restored, was deleted in error. Sites however were removed as they have been inactive for about 10 years. They were replaced with sites with more thorough, current information and thriving communities. Midnightfuschia (talk) 14:48, 1 April 2016 (EST)

Since we record history, if a site is inactive we do not delete. We move it to the bottom or mark it inactive. I will restore them with the adjusted focus. MeeDee (talk) 18:53, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

If it is something simple like "fixing a broken link" you can make a note in the Summary box (look at the bottom of the edit page). Otherwise the Talk page is fine. We tend to favor updating rather than deleting. MeeDee (talk) 20:26, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

Fanzine removals

I am working on cleaning up the fanzine listing. I had one question about this zine that was removed: "Bustin' 1 & 2 (contents available online) (huge smarm collections edited by Kitty Woldow, both over 400 pages long)" Is this an e-zine or a paper zine? Or was it a fic archive? I restored Slime Trails because (again) its removal was not clear - it is a series of RBG fanzines with 9 issues, so it clearly made up a large proportion of the zines published in this small fandom. Unless there is some other reason for not including it?MeeDee (talk) 19:07, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
