I thought single author zines were only named with title - author if itwas a novel, not a story collection. The single aithor anthologies I'e come across mostly don't have the author in the title now, iirc.--Ratcreature 20:23, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, adding the author name is for individual fanworks only; something like a collection of stories by one author in a zine is the equivalent of an online personal archive, and would be listed just as the collection / archive name. --Arduinna 01:05, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Same here. Actually, I'm finding the single author thing to be a real pain. It makes a mess if an author ends up needing a tweak in her or his name, like if an author's name needs to be the full name, or needs to cut back to a last name initial. Or when one runs across a sequel or prequel but the only way it links up is to backtrack and change links in other entries (possible to do, of course, but open to tons of error. For example, when I went to TM Alexander's site this morning, I found that none of the novels there were blue, making it look like they didn't link up to anything, so I went in a tweaked them all by adding her name.), and with the way the searching engine works, makes it more difficult than it needs to be for the very casual searcher to find the zine she or he is looking for. Actually, the best thing to do in a situation like that is to click the red link and turn the empty page into a redirect to the correct page. That way, if someone else types in and wikilinks just the zine name (without the author included), anyone clicking that link will go to the correctly named page. (If it turns out that that zine title needs a full disambiguation page, that can be created later to override the redirect, no problem.) Pain or not, the author name convention for individual fanworks is wiki policy. :) --Arduinna 01:05, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
