Talk:Star Trek Nuts & Bolts

I had thought that this zine and Nuts & Bolts Worksheet[1] were the same. But there are a few too many differences. First, the Halliday's zinedex [2] only lists one. Second, one has an issue six and seven and other title has them combined. While this wouldn't be too worrisome, I did find a source that lists pages numbers for both. It seems a little strange that they're not the same (though possibly related as noted), there wasn't enough info to determine it at this point. Mrs. Potato Head 20:23, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
- Still can't figure out the relationship, if any, between these two titles. I'm so, so tempted to assume they are the same (such an odd name), but again, there are a few too many dissimilarities. One thing, however, is the the discrepancy is cleared up. Karen Halliday's zine index lists a different editor for this, but it has been confirmed from a listing in Who's Who in Star Trek Fandom that it is George Perkins. Perhaps "Mark Behrend" is the editor for the other zine?--Mrs. Potato Head 23:07, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- I have no idea about the zines, I just wanted to say that I love all this original research you are doing. Wikis are such a perfect tool for this kind of thing and it's so much fun to watch all the puzzle pieces come together. :) On that note, there is a part in Boldly Writing on page 25 that talks about an obscure zine called "The Worksheet" from around 1975. Don't know if this helps. --Doro 23:48, 1 January 2011 (UTC)
- Studying these original old zines is like staring into the Big Bang and watching as the atoms disperse. And, yes, the wiki is such a wonderful medium for it all. When a stray bit of info slides into place, it's a beautiful thing, indeed. As for "Worksheet," well, I'll go check that clue out. Thank you, Doro, for the encouragement. --Mrs. Potato Head 00:16, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
