Talk:Spoiler
Is there a cite on the rot13 thing, or a more detailed explanation of where this was used? I don't remember ever seeing it (I have a mainly mailing-list, mainly slash but also some gen, background) -- we used "spoiler" in the subject line, and spoiler space at the top of posts, with various rules about how long spoiler space was needed. Was the rot13 a newsgroup thing, or maybe fandom-specific somewhere? --Arduinna 22:00, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- Gee, I don't even know, but I know that commenters on making light do it fairly often, so I assumed that it was a custom from their generation. Perhaps this was me jumping to conclusions! --Betty 22:04, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- fwiw, Making Light is the only place I've ever seen it used -- it may be more common on the SF side of fandom, but I don't know (my SF-fandom days are mainly pre-Internet). --Arduinna 22:06, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
