æthel I saw this tweet and even read some people commenting on how it led to other users fearing the possible association with this hideous case which led many to change their name. Thanks! I updated the page. If you can find any other examples, we could add them too. I searched Fanlore and found a few doujinka, but if the fans were Japanese and active 20 years ago, they probably weren't affected. (Also a character in Naruto?)--aethel (talk) 04:30, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

Maybe. I know that Shino on account of Naruto was a very popular name among some fans. It also seems to be a common name in some countries. Ellakbhesse (talk) 04:37, 1 September 2021 (UTC)
