translation help

What does this translate to exactly: みかんサラダ ?

Tangerine salad? Mandarin salad? Mikan salad? Orange salad? I know these are all related (especially considering the character it's referencing) and I'm probably just being a stickler but I'd like to get the best translation, if possible. - inkstone 03:07, 1 December 2011 (UTC)

Mikan (みかん, also 蜜柑) is for mandarin oranges, especially the Satsuma mandarin orange. So "mandarin salad," "mandarin orange salad," "satsuma salad," and "satsuma mandarin salad" are all accurate translations - take your pick. Personally, unless it being the "satsuma" kind is important, I'd go for "mandarin orange salad" (since it beats "mandarin salad" in a GoogleFight. :) -- Kylara 04:07, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks for the help! - inkstone 12:07, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
