Talk:Recruiter Vid

So, I combined recruiter vids and recruiter clip tapes here. Feel free to divide them into two articles if you think that's better.--Sherrold 17:12, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

about the examples, I didn't know that Seperis also made vids? Or was really active in SPN. After seeing this, I tried to find a post for this vid in her LJ, and didn't find it, nor any reverences to producing SPN fanworks. Obviously I could just have missed or overlooked it, or it isn't online, but is this title/vidder/fandom combination really correct?--Ratcreature 22:13, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

I couldn't find it either, so I dropped Seperis's name from that entry. Maybe someone else can find who it's by. --rache 16:58, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Well, if name and fandom are certain, I know a SPN vid of that name by Charmax. But I didn't see that as slashy and the post doesn't list it as slash vid, just as Sam + Dean vid: http://charmax.livejournal.com/39182.html So personally I don't think it pimps Wincest. Maybe SPN, but I couldn't say that for sure, because I have no clue what qualities distinguish pimping vids from regular vids, except that some that require much knowledge of the fandom wouldn't fit the category.--Ratcreature 17:14, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
I tried to rephrase it, but I do think that when speaking of vids, unless there's a manip done in the images or the song is explicitly a love song, that a lot of songs can be read as either gen or slash relationship, depending on what the viewer brings to it. But in the provided link, it's all about the slash. Is there a separate gen section for the two-as-brothers relationship, or is that just the main supernatural page? --rache 20:11, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Huh? I meant that in the header of the vid post it isn't described as Wincest or Sam/Dean but as Sam + Dean and the description is "There is not much to say other than this is just a fun little vid showing the quirkiness and the bantering between Sam and Dean. All good ;) brotherly love." and okay, I guess Wincest fans could see it as relationship vid, and that the ironic smiley is somehow supposed to say that the love isn't brotherly after all, but I didn't get that from the header or the vid. How is this all about the slash? I mean, if you want to list it as slah, whatever, it's not that important to me. But I don't get it.--Ratcreature 20:51, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Cliptape

I think Cliptape (or Clip Tape?) should have it's own page. Half the page here is about cliptapes and not recruiter vids. --Doro 18:28, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
