Not sure what the policy is for updating bad links. Leave dead one in and add new? Put in new and get rid of dead? See: "Till the Sun Breaks Down." --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 14:22, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- It depends if the old dead link is on the Wayback machine. Plugging in an old link into the WB can offer some history. What I've done is reverse the order: new link; deadline (now offline). If the link really is dead, then I sometimes remove it. But it is easier to just add a note (dead link). --MeeDee (talk) 17:29, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. The switching around (new, then old) is good advice. I think I'll take the old link out on this one though, as I now realize it leads me to some spammy website that won't let me leave. --Mrs. Potato Head (talk) 17:52, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
