Imitation art

Hello, wasn't familiar with the term imitation art' until after I added the HP piece and a notation for more examples. Since I now see that there's the 'imitation art' page set up for this, is an image even necessary on this page? Would just mention and link to the imitation art page be enough? That is what I am thinking, but if we do keep an image, IMHO, something based on a better known work of art seems like it would be a better choice representation (eg the mona lisa, the kiss, etc, of which there seem to be a few to choose from on that page). --Alchemia (talk) 19:32, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

I think we need to sort out the Imitation and Photo Reference pages first, and then decide what to do. I started a discussion at the Photo Reference Talk Page. --MPH (talk) 20:00, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Section on Related Terms

I propose a section on this page (and the related pages) that focus on the differences among Pastiche (fusion), Pastiche, Fusion, and the other closely related terms. My head's swimming a bit trying to sort them out. :-) --MPH 13:44, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
