Talk:Okusama wa Shishaku
I'm confused about whether this doujinshi (from this eBay auction) is the same as this one. They have different titles and publication dates listed, but are from the same circle, the covers have Albert in the same dress, and they include an identical sample page (this and this).
I'm leaning towards thinking that the latter (再録奥様) may be reissue of sorts of the former (奥様は子爵) -- which would explain the different covers, titles, and dates, and apparently "再録" means something like "re-recording" or "reprint"? It's also possible that they're simply different doujinshis in the same series (that just duplicated one of the page? or one of the sites included a wrong image?), or that they're the same and the two covers are simply a front and back to the same book (and one of the sites messed up on the title and date).
Ideas? --sparc 21:46, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- ETA: We also have 奥様は子爵2, which is apparently a sequel to this one, and which is listed as being published on the same date as the mysterious maybe-reprint. --sparc 21:54, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- It looks to me that 再録奥様 (sairoku okusama) is a reprinting of okusama wa shishaku with extra material, and is possibly a reprint collection (if it includes another doujinshi reprinted within). The title means roughly "reprint(ing) wife," with wife being the same in okusama wa shishaku, and reprint being the same as in reprint collection. The reprinted doujinshi is about 15 pages longer than the original, so it includes something else: possibly another reprinted short doujinshi, or a new mini story made for the reprint, or extra art -- any of those are common with reprints. It looks like the doujinka reprinted the doujinshi so it could be released alongside the sequel, which is also common with reprints. Hope that helps. -- Kylara 05:09, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks so much Kylara! --sparc 15:37, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
Is the title of this page correct? Other sites romanize 奥様は子爵 as "Okusama wa Shishaku" -- I thought は was "ha" but I could be wrong? --sparc 05:16, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- When used as a particle, as in the title here, は (ha) is pronounced 'wa'. I'm in favor of changing it. -- Kylara 06:26, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks Kylara, I'll request that it be moved :) --sparc 08:41, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
- I can do that. :) Moved. -- Kylara 08:52, 30 May 2012 (UTC)
