Talk:Leslie Fish
Do we really want to get into listing/talking about people's RL political leanings on the wiki? (Er, unless it's specifically in terms of how it shapes their fannish involvement, if that's particularly relevant.) --Arduinna 18:32, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Definitely not relevant. What Fanlore Is Not specifically says "Fanlore is not a forum for your biography (or autobiography); pages in the main namespace should stick to fannish history & engagement." So I deleted that line. --Kyuuketsukirui 19:18, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Can we get more detail on "writer of fantasy in several fandoms"? Sherrold 22:13, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
I added a quotation to the section on Fish's advocacy of K/S writing. This comes from a letter I have (purchased from James Van Hise) that Van Hise received from Leslie. As the footnote says, he wrote Leslie requesting an interview, and this comes from her 2-page response. (Jim gave me permission to extract portions of that letter for fanlore.) There are other topics in the letter, but it's largely about her support of K/S stories. The letter is dated "7806.06", i.e. June 6, 1978. This date is supported by her referring to the "Anita Bryant interview in last month's PLAYBOY"; that interview was in the May 1978 issue. Chavey (talk) 04:08, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
