Talk:Legolas (disambiguation)

The disambiguation here doesn't really work. One page says Legolas (Tolkien zine), the other Legolas (The Lord of the Rings). The name of the zine also refers to the LotR character while the name of the character page just indicates the fandom (which is the same) without clarifying that it's about the character. As it's very likely that almost all the pages linking here want the character page, I suggest moving the character page back to Legolas, moving the disambiguation page to Legolas (disambiguation), and adding a disambiguation line to the character page. --Doro 04:52, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I thought it was weird too. Agree with move of character to Legolas. Espresso Addict 05:48, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
So, make Legolas (Lord of the Rings) = Legolas? Make that the main page (no disambiguation page) and put Legolas (Tolkien zine) as a "you may be looking for" at the top of that page? --Mrs. Potato Head 13:17, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
That seems sensible. I doubt anyone looking for the Finnish newsletter is going to be unhappy about finding the character it's named for as the main article. Espresso Addict 19:28, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
Anyone object to this plan? Espresso Addict 03:27, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
I like the idea, and it's been two weeks, so I moved the pages. I don't know that we need the disambiguation page, but I didn't see the harm in keeping it for the moment. Someone can delete the disambig if you don't want it. Meanwhile, it is past my bed-time here, so I shall turn in. :)--æþel 04:02, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
Cheers! We could probably delete the disambiguation and just put a hook at the top of the Legolas page pointing to the zine. Espresso Addict 04:15, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
