"probably invented by atheist fans, meaning "fannish god"." I had always thought it was a way to avoid writing out the word "God" and avoiding a religious smite. Kind of like substituting "gosh darn" for "god damn." But that is totally based on a gut feeling, nothing concrete. --MPH (talk) 01:37, 13 November 2015 (UTC)
