Talk:From the Log of the Hellhound

Does anyone have any information about the popularity of Hellhound style art not explicitly associated with Hellhound? Because Southern Comfort 5.5 (another Ashton Press zine, admittedly) has a Blake/Avon Hellhound-ish cover - although Hellhound is obviously not B/A, it's gen. Interestingly, as well, the picture (along with one of the covers for SoCo 6.5) crops up again in SoCo 6.5 as part of the SoCo writing competition, although readers are asked NOT to produce Hellhound-style fic based off these images!! I don't have 7.5 (which is infamous in its own way) so I couldn't tell you whether readers ever did produce fic that featured Avon dressed like this, but from a different AU. But that's also interesting - how famous and influential was Hellhound? Were people writing their own fanfic of this universe?? Was the fanart authorised?? I assume yes to the second, and... no? For the first? I probably could find someone who knows, but I was just interested to see whether anyone on here had any idea before I went to bother people :D Also, if anyone has access to the actual zines in question, it'd be good to get more info about the fanartists, as lots of it seems to be missing.--Aralias (talk) 01:31, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Dividing This Page Into Two Pages
