News about him

So I just found this out. Anyone want to update the page?--aethel (talk) 03:19, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

I was about to edit the page when I found your comment. I had no idea there was an issue with Forrest J Ackerman. So I looked for and found several other pages on the topic. I'll leave the links here in case an editor wants to work on it: Forrest J Ackerman's #MeToo Moment, Perverts Of Geekdom, Forry too, and Safe Space as Rape Room: Science Fiction Culture and Childhood’s End (Part 5 of 5).
Since I only heard about the situation earlier today, I don't feel qualified to write about it. I'll just make the edits I came here for now and also add the template 'discussion' to the page. --SecurityBreach (talk) 09:22, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
I found the page by chance, when I came across the thread and I was in doubt whether or not to add my little find, about his friendship with Morojo and Fandom Sci-fi, as I wouldn't feel so good about putting more facts on this being's page without again correlating with Ms. Myrtle which seems to deserve more attention than he does, due to recent revelations about FJA. What should I do? I always want to collaborate with Fanlore, but modifying pages like this is a sticky point for me --Ellakbhesse (talk) 20:32, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
If you like, you can put your info on the talk page and we can discuss here how to best incorporate it. We have a few experts on early science fiction fandom at Fanlore who could probably help. --SecurityBreach (talk) 23:22, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
SecurityBreach i found this link about the friendship of Morojo and FJA. Their interest in Esperanto, and the possibility that FJA invited Ms. Myrtle to the Los Angeles Science Fiction League, later other close relatives of her have gone, such as her son and cousin, Vodoso and Pogo the Esperanto name for Virgil Smith and Patti Gray. In addition to indications of how Morojo chose this name following the grammar and phonetics of Esperanto. Several photos of her and other forerunners of fandom between 20s and 40s -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 01:15, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
I think I would put the link on Morojo's page, since the article is called Morojo and the focus is on her. Thank you for the great find! The whole site seems to have some interesting stuff. --SecurityBreach (talk) 01:27, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

I found other sites about Morojo, mas that is gold. According to the homepage, this encyclopedia became at some point a book documenting the culture of fandom in the UK -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 01:32, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

I'd say it needs its own page on Fanlore. --SecurityBreach (talk) 01:50, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
I fully agree -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 02:31, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

About the second picture

Knowing that he molested, harassed and sexualized children -- especially another young woman who performed Vampirella -- this picture of him with his hand on his thigh is correct if a child who looks less than 12 years old here on Fanlore? I feel a little uncomfortable looking at this photo [File:Equicon1976-9.jpg] and thinking "was she also one of his victims?" -- Ellakbhesse (talk) 02:35, 17 September 2021 (UTC)
