Talk:Education AU
Minor suggestions
I think it's a good idea to have an overview page for all the different educational AU scenarios. Just wanted to point out that we already have a page that deals with the Starfleet Academy trope - Academy Fic. I wonder if the fic examples should be moved to that page. I'm also wondering if this section should be a bit more general. There are a number of source materials that use the Academy era fic trope.
Also the inclusion of notable artists seems a bit strange, without specific fanwork examples. I'd suggest adding one fanwork example for the artist/writers listed here, eg. PE-verse by Tonzura123. --Auntags (talk) 15:23, 28 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks so much for bringing Academy Fic to my attention. I've moved the examples over, and added a 'See Also' under Starfleet Academy. As for the mentioned artists... I'll allow someone else to make that decision. I do it that way now because I can index works for artists, but have been told repeatedly not to over-index fanworks on other pages. Directing folks to artist pages is a more minimalist way to show people to example fanworks, as they can go to the artist page linked, ctrl+f the genre, and boom. All with just a link consisting of 1-2 words, and easily fitting within columns. Someone else is free to change this page in that regard, but I don't know how else to do it without making it overly-complicated for people to find what they're looking for. - Jacksbrak (talk) 12:11, 29 August 2020 (UTC)
