Removing Quote + Editing Quote
Hey there, the recent update about the "industry plant" theory is great! But I just wanted to pop on the talk page and suggest that there's no reason to remove that other quote to replace it with the Twitter quote, all five quotes can be displayed. The other quotes on the page are all from the Tumblr post, it may be better to have the Twitter quotes separate, and we could even quote more of them rather than just the one to expand upon it.
Also, just wanted to note that we should not be editing the wording of quotes, so replacing the curse word in the Twitter quotes with asterisks is unneeded. The same for if a quote ever has a typo, we should quote verbatim (though snipping long quotes for brevity should be fine so long as it's made clear the quote was cut down, and that the snipped quote isn't being taken out of context by the snipping).
That said, I will be replacing the edited quote with the verbatim quote that included the curse word, and placing the removed quote back, beneath the one from Twitter. If you've got any suggestions or questions let me know here :) Patchlamb (talk) 19:41, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
Fandom: stans and antis
I have rarely seen a fandom conflict so vitriolic as the one between fans and haters of Dream, including death threats etc. I think it would be good context to mention that in the "Fandom" section. I discovered the fandom relatively late and don't feel comfortable covering it myself. --Tiyire (talk) 21:50, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
