Reading a book on non-fanzine zine culture: the author asserts that the more common name for zines consisting of reviews of other zines is data zine. Is that the reason for this zine's title? Or is this zine title the source for the author's claim?--aethel (talk) 20:35, 10 May 2015 (UTC)

Possibly, though this was never mentioned in the zine itself. The only info I have on the title of it was that it was originally called "Forum." Stephen H. Walker, editor, explained that when they went to register the title of their fanzine as a trade name, they found that "Forum" was already taken, so they took the name "Datazine" instead. --MPH (talk) 00:06, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
