Page Name
Tumblr community refers to the pairing as Caryl and not any other way. Caryl is also what creators, actors and mainstream media uses when talking about the pairing, hence the naming convention I used. Is the pairing refered to in different terms in other places on the internet? I'd probably suggest a redirect from Daryl/Carol and Daryl Dixon/Carol Peletier for easier search. --Soyalex (talk) 20:13, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
- I created the redirects for now but I suggest choosing a different name for the page for disambiguation reasons. Caryl is a first name that appears in different contexts here on Fanlore. Caryl Sibbett is a fanartist who has won awards (see Surak Awards) and a few art examples are included on several pages, for example File:Mindmeld5art7.jpg, File:Never & Always 2 int 3.jpg and File:Journey to the Center of the Galaxy Pt 4 by Caryl Sibbett.jpg. The Deryni Archives also gives art credits to Caryl McHarney as a contributor to issue #3. Tumblr is huge and I haven't seen a pairing yet that wasn't referred to differently by different people and I assume the AO3 doesn't refer to the pairing as Caryl? What's the pairing tag there? --Doro (talk) 10:29, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- AO3 used the full names convention Daryl Dixon/Carol Peletier, but that is AO3 specific (TWD fans don't use it in fan interactions, because there's only one Daryl and only one Carol). I suppose Daryl/Carol would work for page name that would still be consistent in what the fans use to refer to the ship? Page name aside, we will probably still end up needing Caryl (disambiguation) page, the same way there's a Carol disambiguation page? --Soyalex (talk) 10:45, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, I can move it to Daryl/Carol, if you want. And yes, Caryl would need to be a disambiguation page. --Doro (talk) 10:55, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
