Are the parts in quotation marks taken from a specific source? If so, it would be great to cite that, and if not, I'm not sure we need the quotation marks.--Penknife 22:16, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

They are taken from an explanation Dorinda provided on a small private email list; I have no idea how to cite that as people can't access the list info. Other bits are from personal correspondence with me when I asked Dorinda for some "print" information when I intended to write about it a long time ago. Can you tell me what to do with that? If there's a way to handle that, I will try, but there doesn't seem to be a way to note private email conversations.--gwyn 22:32, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
I am looking for a better way to cite conversations on private email lists, too -- let's brainstorm on this!Sherrold 22:46, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
As best as I can tell from the Fanlore:Citation page:
You need permission in advance from the person you're quoting to quote from private email correspondence or from a closed mailing list. For private email, the format for citations is "Dorinda, personal communication, date. (Accessed date.)"
If naming the email list isn't a problem, you can cite as "Dorinda, on list name (requires moderator approval), date. (Accessed date.)" If the existence of the list isn't public knowledge, I'd say something like "Dorinda, on private email list, date. (Accessed date.)".--Penknife 22:48, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

I added some bits at the end (including a brainstormed list of clams from the Escapade 2005 panel), with a reference/footnote to my con report from that year. If that's too subjective or specific, feel free to delete, obviously. Kass 22:26, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Would it make sense to add a section at the bottom for people to nominate clams (kind of like tvtropes)? Because I reeeeally want to nominate Aeryn Sun. --Lorem Ipsum 00:45, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

How about a section called "Examples of Clams"? --Mrs. Potato Head 00:56, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
