Can we please put a note on each fanart image about which adaptation it is based on? That info was present at one point I think, I do remember I went to a lot of trouble scouring fansites to find fanart from the lesser known adaptations, and right now they are all just in the gallery with no distinctions made between them -- Kingstoken (talk) 12:25, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- The Lana Marcy fanart is of the Showtime series. I honestly wasn't aware there were so many adaptations. I tend to just add CC-licensed fanart to relevant ship/character pages when I find it, with the hope that fans will know how to better contextualize or describe it. (I've never watched Teen Wolf, for example, but added some Sterek fanart to the ship's article, since I happened across it will looking for Harry Potter art.) - Also, it's easy to miss the adaptation notes because they're down in the references, away from the fanart gallery itself. Working the notes into the image captions might make it clearer which adaptation each fanart piece is depicting. Night Rain (talk) 12:44, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- When this page was being developed a lot of promo images were being used, so their was a real effort being made to try and find fanart from all the major adaptations, and let me tell it wasn't always easy, especially Los Borgias that Italian series, but I managed to find a fan edit. Anyways, most of the discussion around this was on the talk pages of the promo images and is now deleted. I never thought about putting a note on this talk page at the time, but looking back perhaps I should have -- Kingstoken (talk) 12:53, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
- It's neat you went that extra mile to try to represent the less-known adaptations. But some things really are super obscure and whatever online fandom they had has left little to no trace of its existence. So may not always be possible to find art or edits for something. Also, could an admin perhaps restore those deleted talk pages, and then move the discussions here? Night Rain (talk) 14:05, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
