Talk:Caren Parnes

Is Mary Van Dusen a typo? There is a page for Mary Van Deusen. --Doro 21:41, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
I am not certain where you're seeing the typo on this page? I've been going around and correcting them where I find them. --Morgandawn 05:50, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
- You edited the page after I posted my comment. :) --Doro 21:59, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
So, Agent With Style [1] must be wrong about Parnes as the artist for Last Best Hope? Sorry about that! Mrs. Potato Head 17:50, 1 December 2009 (UTC)
Let me check with Caren if she wants her images made smaller. She feels strongly about how her art is presented. Until then, let's try to keep the images as large as we can - I liked what Doro did for Endoviel's page and think Caren would go for that. --Morgandawn 19:10, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
The following images have been removed from the artists page at at the artist's request: Back to Back 1 & 2, California K/S, Kirk from California K/S, covers of First Time #4, covers of First Time #5. She has also requested that explicit art not be listed on her profile page. --Morgandawn 05:53, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- Can it be mentioned then in text that she also does explicit art without linking to the specific pieces? I think whether someone does adult art or not is part of a basic overview of an artist's scope in fandom, much like whether they do slash, or shippy or just gen stuff.--RatCreature 08:07, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- ETA: also according to the First Time page the cover of #4 is not by Parnes? And what is the problem with the Back to Back art? --RatCreature 08:15, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- How about we remove it from her personal page and add a note that she asks that, while she has done some explicit art, she asks that it not be posted on her gallery? Then on the zine pages themselves, we shorten her name to C.P.? --Mrs. Potato Head 12:52, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- She's given me a list of images that were not by her. The Back to Back art is more of an artistic choice. I've asked her if it is OK if we use Caren P. on those few zine pages without a link to the profile page. So it seems we're all on the same track. I'll keep you folks updated if there are any more tweaks needed.--Morgandawn 16:06, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
Gallery Formatting
We're testing (with the artist's permission) ways to address the relative size differences of horizontally displayed and vertically displayed art. Aging fans and/or fans with low vision sometimes struggle to see the details of horizontal art. By separating the two types into two galleries, we can adjust the sizes to compensate.--MeeDee (talk) 20:23, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
