Talk:Avatar: The Last Airbender
I removed the line about portmanteau names possibly being an anime influence for two reasons. 1. The example given is a western-style portmanteau (first part of one name + last part of other name), not an anime-style one (first part of both names), and 2. portmanteaus are pretty much ubiquitous in almost all current fandoms, western or anime. --Kyuuketsukirui 03:07, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

I think there were a few gallery events that should probably be mentioned, such as THE LEGEND OF KORRA / AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER TRIBUTE EXHIBITION.--Sari (talk) 20:23, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure about the structure as is with the fan communities. Should that be a separate section somehow? Liaroflesbos (talk) 20:17, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
Links re: new live action TV series discussion
There has been some discussion online about the new series and, specifically, how cast members have reported that a lot of Sokka's sexism has been removed, with fans discussing how this ties into discussions around the growing need in some fan spaces for characters to be unproblematic and media literacy. I don't know enough about ATLA to add this in, and the show isn't out yet, but this might be useful for discussions later:
