Uhm, I'm not sure how helpful that addition is... the word doesn't exist in English, and in Spanish is interchangeable with "hablante de español" or even "hablante de castellano", both of which directly translate to "Spanish-speaker" and that's already a broad, all inclusive term. Originally I raised my question because most Latinos would disagree with calling the US "America" and making a distinction between "America" and "Latin America", but hispanohablante means literally anyone who speaks Spanish, regardless of their heritage and origin, so having it defined and centered around two continents here is a bit... counterproductive. I think it is best to just use Spanish-speaking.

Also, while I like the "see also" box, don't you think it'll look better at the bottom of the page? After the references, I think. I disagree with having the "intruders" zine listed as "see also" when nothing about that zine is about Amor Yaoi at all, unless you're sure some of the collaborators were also active in Amor Yaoi? I don't think there are records of any fanwork coming from or directly involving Amor Yaoi itself on Fanlore. Seanide (talk) 14:57, 11 October 2022 (UTC)

The box I added in Veja is also not for "hello something from here went to another site", but for "hello these are other fic sites in Spanish". Hispanohablante cannot be changed to Spanish speaking as there is a difference. And I didn't say America to represent USA, I said North America the Continent. But ok edit as you wish, because I'm Latin American and I don't see Mexico as part of North America, because he's just as Latino as I am. We are not North Americans like Canada, the United States and whatever else is on the continent. The word may not exist in English, but it is the correct term to speak, I am Lusophone and Hispanohablante. I speak Portuguese and I speak Spanish. I will edit these pages only the references, I will limit myself to adding any opinions of mine if it is to hear "this does not exist in English" as a form of response to delete my edits. Yes, not everything exists in English and that sounds great, as it gives us the chance to add our own terms in our mother tongues and help expand knowledge. But if it doesn't exist in English is a criterion for content removal, I believe I shouldn't be here then, right? To be honest, I agree with Seanide in this one. Spanish-speaker a valid translation of Hispanohablante as they literally mean the same thing. IMO, find the use of hispanohablante in an article in English unnecessary and overcomplicates something simple. Now, about the box, I find it a good idea, and linking Fanfic.es and Slasheaven which are two multifandom is good. La mazmorra del snarry and intruders on the other hand, I find it odd to place them there. There are better candidates than those two, which would represent better the structure and history of the Spanish-Speaking fandom such as Paraíso Fanfiction, Fanfic Landia or Potterfics, so, I suggest keeping fanfic.es and Slashheaven and swapping the other two, or moving the links and explaining why they are better candidates for the box. -- Alpha (talk) 16:55, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
