Adding citation needed tag

As of March 2016, a reylo fic had the most kudos, while Have you heard was the most bookmarked fic, and Interstellar Transmissions had the most hits and comments, indicating that a reylo fic received a large amount of casual support, but fans were not as invested in and engaged with genuine, non-trolling fanfics.

There was no citation for this recent addition in bold to the page, but it feels like an opinion. Which is perfectly fine, I just think it should be phrased that way. Such as: Some fans think X. Other fans think Y. Preferably with references to conversations on the topic.

When researching this page, I never came across the belief that fans were less invested in works that received less kudos. And in particular, the two other works named in that sentence! Those works both had a fanbase of their own, and inspired other fanworks. To imply that fans didn't engage with those works because they didnt receive as many kudos is just - wrong.

I also don't think its right to say that kudos are a casual form of support. Many fans still look to kudos and hits-to-kudos ratio as a good indicator of a "successful" fic. There were definitely discussions like kudos don't matter in certain parts of SW fandom back in 2016. But I wasn't able to find any links when writing this page. I don't think the stats on their own warrant these conclusions, unless they're backed up with citations. AND that's why I'm adding a citation needed tag. --Auntags (talk) 21:00, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
